What are essential oils?

Essential Oils are natural compounds found in the bark, seeds, roots, flowers and other parts of a plant or tree. The oils which are extracted from the plants and trees using several methods and have been used for a wide range of purposes.

Essential oils may seem to be a new craze but they have been used by civilizations across the world for centuries as part of their culture, traditional ceremonies as well as health and well-being practices.

The oils are powerful and have an array of uses and benefits, which include personal care and beauty treatments, food preparation, healthcare practices and aromatherapy which uses their fragrances and properties to help improve physical, emotional conditions and general well-being.

By inhaling the scent of the essential oil, the body quickly absorbs the the fragrance into the limbic system of body where emotions and memories are stored. The EFT techniques combined with the essential oils can lift mood, change the emotion and help the body to heal and release negativity, to return to state of harmony and balance.

WHAT IS EMOTIONAL AROMATHERAPY?

As a qualified Emotional Aromatherapy Adviser I work with a client using analysis tools based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), mindfulness practices, emotional intelligence and talking therapy combined with doTerra emotional aromatherapy oils. After a full consultation, we work through a programme designed to understand how and where the body is holding and responding to emotions such as grief, anger, fear and stress.

Using a variety of techniques and the oil blends we work together to understand and release the emotions that are affecting the health and well-being of the client.
